Five Courses. Five Pairings. One Evening Inspired by Italy.

Join Résolu Cellars and Alessandra Gardino of Customized Journeys for a special evening exploring the flavors, wines, and traditions of Northern and Central Italy through the lens of food, wine, and travel.

This is not a traditional dinner—it’s a curated small-plate wine pairing experience, designed to let each wine and dish shine together.

Guests will enjoy five chef-created tasting plates paired with five Résolu wines, with each course highlighting the relationship between Italian-inspired cuisine and the varietals that inspired some of Scott’s winemaking.

The Wines
Our featured pairing lineup will showcase four of Résolu’s Italian-inspired reds:

2022 Barbera
Bright, lively and wonderfully food-friendly, with cherry, violet and savory herbal notes. (Gold — 2026 PDX Seafood & Wine • Silver 87 Pts Savor NW)
2022 Sangiovese | Super Tuscan Style
Our blend of 91% Sangiovese, 7% Merlot and 2% Malbec, with juicy red fruit, blackberry, anise and soft tannins. (Silver 2026 PDX Seafood & Wine Silver • 84 Pts Savor NW)
2022 Vino Barbitivo
A Résolu original blending 56% Barbera and 44% Primitivo. Plush dark berry and bramble fruit meet hints of vanilla, spice and tobacco. (Silver — Pacific NW Wine Competition 2026)
2022 Primitivo
Bold and fruit-forward with boysenberry, dark cherry, plum and chocolate, finishing with lingering spice and richness. (Silver Pacific NW Wine Competition 2026 • Silver • 86 Points Savor NW 2026)

The evening will begin—or perhaps finish—with one of Résolu’s 2022 traditional-method sparkling wines, with the final selection and pairing chosen alongside the menu.

More Than a Pairing
Throughout the evening, Winemaker Scott Nelson will share the stories behind the wines while Alessandra Gardino of Customized Journeys brings the regions, cuisine and culture of Italy to life.

You’ll also get a glimpse of Northern Italy Uncorked, the handcrafted May 2027 journey Scott and Kathie have selected for a small group of fellow wine and travel enthusiasts.
