2022 Chardonnay ($26) Willamette Valley AVA
Swirl to pick up the nose of light oak, melon, apple, pear, and clover honey. Full body in the mouth, chewy, light butter, a hint of green apple, with a long-lasting finish. You’ll find this a slightly higher acidity than a traditional Chardonnay.
Winemaker notes: Harvested on the early side to maintain the acidity and produce a lower alcohol (12.4%) for enjoyable summer sipper. This wine was 40% barrel fermented in a new French Oak Rousseau Piano barrel. 70% went through a malolactic conversion.
